Volunteer Spotlight – Teri Hanson
At Meals From The Heart, we are always on the search for energetic, passionate people who like to help their neighbors. And sometimes, they find us. That’s what happened with Teri Hanson. She saw the Meals From The Heart sign on our building and walked through the front door, asking how she could help. She jumped in with both feet as a volunteer leader at meal-packing events and filling food bags for military families. We are thrilled to have her tireless passion and a ready smile on our team.

Teri has a huge passion for volunteering in her community. After working at a local clothing ministry for underprivileged families that recently closed, Teri began a search for her next volunteer opportunity.
A sign from above brought her to Meals From The Heart.
Literally! She saw the sign above the door on our building and stopped by to see what we were all about. Because that’s what people with a passion for serving do – they seek out places and ways to help. Fortunately for us, she liked our story and began volunteering almost right away in March of 2022.
“I was immediately impressed with the organization’s energy and commitment to always provide healthy and tasty meals for local families and communities,” Teri said.
