Our meal-packing events have a playlist. It’s a very particular playlist, too. We’ve honed it over the years to get our hairnet heroes’ blood flowing and hearts pumping. So, why is music so important at our events? For starters, all of our volunteers and meal packers are “rock stars,” so it’s only fitting. Last month we packed our first event with Anytime Fitness and Self Esteem Brands, and it was a blast – talk about a workout! Over 350 employees and friends teamed up in one of our competitive “throwdown” events to pack nearly 80,000 meals in only three hours.
Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS® (SPAAR) held a kick-off event earlier this month to support the Second Annual Side-By-Side community meal-packing event where more than 1,000 people from local congregations will come together to pack 250,000 meals to stock local food shelves. The community meal-packing event will be held on September 15-16 at the Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church at 1669 Arcade Street in St. Paul.
