Medtronic Keeps Showing Up In The Fight Against Food Insecurity.

At Meals From The Heart, we’re always inspired by community partners who go above and beyond to help neighbors facing food insecurity. This year, teams from Medtronic’s Mounds View and Rice Creek locations once again showed what can happen when people come together for a great cause.

As part of Medtronic’s annual Project 6 initiative, tied to Tenet 6 of the Medtronic Mission about being a good corporate citizen, 78 Medtronic packing teams came together over six days for some friendly competition and a lot of meal packing. One experienced team even broke its own world record by packing 6,756 meals in just 30 minutes!

Throughout the event, Medtronic employees worked alongside Meals From The Heart volunteers to pack nutritious meals for local individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. The energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the week made a huge impact.

The Numbers Keep Growing

Over the past 12 years, across two countries, and with help from nearly 20,000 associates, Medtronic has now packed an incredible 4,633,870 meals.
