Meals From The Heart

Helping Vets, Active-Duty Military, And Their Families Stretch Their Food Budget.

Meals From The Heart has partnered with “Beyond The Yellow Ribbon” and MACV (Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans) to help veterans, active military veterans, and their families stretch their food budget through our Food Box Program. This program provides pre-packed food boxes filled with a selection of familiar and quality grocery items at substantial savings.

The Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Campaign facilitated by the Minnesota National Guard provides a network of support for military members, veterans, and their families before, during, and after deployment.

Beyond the Yellow Ribbon is making Meals From The Heart Food Boxes available all summer long (June 1-August 30) to assist active-duty Minnesota military families.

Military families often find themselves in new surroundings, making finding schools, childcare, and a place to live a challenge, putting finding a job for spouses at the bottom of the list. The situation is complicated even more with deployments that often take military members far from loved ones. Our Food Box Program is an ideal solution to help these families make ends meet while they adjust.

MACV serves Minnesota veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless across the state. Believe it or not, more than 25,000 veterans contact MACV each year for help. Many of these veterans get assistance with finding temporary or permanent housing solutions. As they move into new housing, our Food Box Program helps them stretch their living expenses to make the transition smoother and less stressful.

So far this summer, Meals From The Heart has delivered well over 100 food boxes through both of these great organizations. It is truly our privilege to serve our active-duty military families and veterans.
