Get To Know The Guy Behind This Smile!

Say “Hi” to Joel Hansen. A native of Stillwater, Joel joined the Meals From The Heart team just a couple of months ago, and he’s already an integral member of the crew! Joel has an MSW from the University of St. Thomas with a focus on clinical practice. Before Meals From The Heart, he spent 18 years as a child and adolescent mental health therapist working with nonprofit organizations throughout the metro providing direct care to children and their families.

He also worked in program leadership and as a consultant and trainer. And, while he’s new to Meals From The Heart, he is certainly no stranger. Joel traveled to Mexico with Tom for fourteen Mission Mexico experiences as a volunteer and later as a leader. He also served with Tom on a mission trip to Tanzania. Joel is also very active in the community. In his spare time, Joel coaches soccer and loves to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, fishing, and kayaking. He currently resides with his family right here in Oak Park Heights. And we are so lucky to have him as part of the Meals From The Heart family.
