Covid-19 Information
The need for healthy meals is putting an extra strain on our local food shelf resources and vulnerable families in our communities.
In normal circumstances, our food shelf network throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin help over 20,000 families every month to keep healthy meals on their tables – that translates to well over 100,000 monthly meals. And given the current health crisis, demand is higher than ever.
While our normal meal-packing cycle has hit a speed bump, there has been no shortage of need. With food insecurity hitting record levels in our communities and expecting to grow sharply, we have had to adjust our efforts to the new normal that will impact all of our lives well into the new year and possibly beyond.
Working with a small group of volunteers and staff, Meals From The Heart safely packs and deliver badly needed meals to Minnesota and Western Wisconsin food shelves. DONATIONS ARE CRITICAL AT THIS TIME to help ensure that the maximum number of meals get to the food shelves as quickly as humanly possible. For instance, $500 will provide 2,000 meals to area food shelves.
Help keep our food shelves stocked.
