Meals From The Heart is proactively planning for unprecedented food shelf demand.
The need for healthy meals is putting an extra strain on our local food shelf resources and vulnerable families in our communities. AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, LOCAL FOOD SHELVES NEED TO BE RESTOCKED.
In normal circumstances, Ruby’s Pantry and our food shelf network throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin help over 20,000 families every month to keep healthy meals on their tables – that translates to well over 100,000 monthly meals. And given the current health crisis, demand is higher than ever.
We are seeking $75,000 in donations to pack 300,000 meals.
Working with a very small group of volunteers and staff, Meals From The Heart is prepared to safely pack and deliver 300,000 meals to Minnesota and Western Wisconsin food shelves. While we wish we could accommodate the many volunteers that have asked to help, due to safety protocols, we cannot. However, DONATIONS ARE CRITICAL AT THIS TIME to help ensure that the maximum number of meals get to the food shelves as quickly as humanly possible. For instance, $500 will provide 2,000 meals to area food shelves.
Please consider a donation. A $10,000 matching fund has been created that will match every dollar donated up to $10,000.
Help keep our food shelves stocked.

Thank you for your patience as we work through the very fluid changes related to the Covid-19 health crisis.
At Meals From The Heart number one priority is the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and partners. We are committed to following real-time information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), federal and local government agencies to make informed decisions, and we are taking ALL necessary precautions.
This is an evolving situation. The following are the steps we are taking to protect all involved while helping our neighbors in need.
Packing events scheduled for the coming weeks have been rescheduled for later in the year. We are optimistic that events already scheduled beyond May 2020 will be unaffected.
We are continuing to book events beyond May. The need will be greater than ever. Please consider hosting a meal-packing event at your organization or business. Learn more here.
