Meal-Packing Throwdown

September 15-17, 2026

Three Days.  64 Teams.  267,720 Meals!

3M employees stepped up to the plate and hit it out of the park, creating over a quarter million meals for local people struggling with food insecurity.

Improving every life. When it comes to the company’s aspiration of “Improving Every Life,” 3M doesn’t just make innovative products. The company also helps build sustainable communities through strategic social investments and thoughtful engagement of 3Mers.

Hometown Giving. 3M invest in communities to help them thrive. Supporting food security is one of the building blocks that form the foundation of strong communities. Through 3Mgives, employees volunteer their time and skills and expertise to support communities by helping people in need here at home and around the world.

Over the past 12 years, thousands of 3Mers have created 1,360,056 new meals in partnership with Meals From The Heart.

Thank you, 3M and all the generous 3Mer volunteers.

Follow The Meals.

Within just a day or two, all the meals packed by the volunteer teams at 3M will be delivered to our local food shelf partners in the same communities where they are packed. This is 3M helping its neighbors.

In partnership with more than 1,000 food shelves and hunger-relief programs in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, Second Harvest Heartland provided more than 143 million meals to neighbors last year. Second Harvest Heartland is a leader, convener and voice in hunger-related policy discussions.

St. Croix Valley Food Bank is a distribution center which provides free and reduced cost food to food shelves, backpack programs, food pantries and other hunger relief partners in the St. Croix Valley.
